When I was younger I had many people I looked up to, some of these people included my aunt, my parents, my grandfather, and my kindergarten teacher. All of these people have impacted my life in a positive way and made me who I am today.
My aunt was always the person who always wanted to have fun, and till this day she still does. While my parents used to tell me I couldn't do something or to quiet down, my aunt used to go outside with me and we can make all the noise we wanted. I remember once my parents told me to not to eat ice cream before dinner because it would spoil my appetite. Even though my parents said that my aunt took me out for ice cream before dinner, I didn't eat much dinner that night.
My parents always influenced me by coming from different backgrounds and ending up where they are today. I always looked up to them because they always reached for success, they always taught me to be the best that I can be and never to give up on my dreams. They always told me to shoot for success, and do the most with my life.
My grandfather always stood with me through thick and thin, he never lost faith in me. My grandfather has been a worker all his life and had values as such. He believed in hard work and integrity, and never giving up on anything. Some of those values were transferred to me and how I look and view things.
My kindergarten teacher was one of those people who also stood with me when I did something frowned upon in class. So, one typical day in kindergarten me and my friend were sitting at a table in the classroom. I can't remember who but somebody dared me to cut my hair on my own, and being the 5 year old I was, I did it. I ended up cutting about a total of 8 inches from my hair, actually it was more around 10 inches. After chopping the hair from my head I put it in the trash can and hid it under tissues thinking nobody would notice it. Little did I know, later that night my kindergarten teacher called my house. The next day in school I got a stern talking to and was embarrassed of the thing I did. I started crying about how I looked like a boy with short hair, and how I was ugly. My teacher supported me through this ordeal, and helped me to conquer the reality of what I had done.
These people influenced my life in many, many ways. They all have impacted my life in positive ways and made me who I am today.
:D It's great that you have someone that you respect and admire so much!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, my aunt was my favorite person in the world. Unfortunately, she and I had a bit of a falling out (for reasons that are best left unsaid.) But as a child, she always let me do things that my mother and father wouldn't. She would take me to movies and out for ice cream and I would have such a fun time. But she definitely influenced my young life.
